Looking for the blessings

My sins are great, and yet the love of my God is greater. He has grace for every need. My God loves me regardless of what I do or what happens to me. I love knowing this. I love knowing that God divinely guides my life. And that God knows the very number of hairs on my head.

We would be amazed if we could see it all and truly see how God works things out for us. Sometimes we skip over His amazing love for us and how well He cares for us. We don’t even know the number of times that He moves us out of harm’s way.

The enemy brings thoughts of fear to us. He wants us to live in a fearful state. And sometimes, he gets to me, and I start dwelling on all the things that could go wrong in my life. Thinking we have to control our lives and that we are in charge causes much pain. God is in control of it all. And He loves us unconditionally. His mighty love and power are what we need to focus on.

What can we control anyway?

I don’t even know how to breathe on my own. My heart pumps continuously, and I don’t do anything to help it. When I honestly think about the power of my God, then I know I am safe and secure in His hands.

I love it when I can shift my attention from my problems to His power and glory. It changes how I feel about my life. Our sweet Lord gives us everything that we have in this life. It all belongs to Him.

I want to be grateful for everything that He gives me. When I can live in a state of gratitude, my mind is focused on the blessings of right now instead of tomorrow’s problems. At this moment, everything is fine. So, instead of worrying about the next moment, I want to focus on the blessing of this one. This precious moment will never come again; therefore, I want to praise Him by enjoying it.

When I align my life according to the Bible, everything goes better, and I feel better.

1. God should be the very center of our lives. When I put Him first, then He helps me with all things. He teaches me how to live and to love. The more I read His word, the more I love Him and His ways. Therefore, I make an effort to spend time with God each day. I want Him to lead and guide me according to His will.

2. My family should come next. To me, my family is everything. Every day I make time to spend with those I love. I go to my Mom and Dad’s house every Sunday and spend the day with my family. I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything in the world. Sunday is my favorite day of the week.

3. Lastly, this is where my job comes in. I’ve been guilty of putting my job before God and my family. However, that doesn’t work for me. It makes me miserable to put anything before my God. God knows that we need to work to provide for our families. He also knows when we desire Him or not.

Not allowing anything to come between God and me is hard. It takes continual desire and effort. My flesh is weak. Therefore, it wants to go after things of the world. But, when I align my life according to my beliefs, God blesses my efforts. He blesses my life in unexpected ways.

Everything is more beautiful when we are close to the Lord. I can find joy in the smallest of things. But, when I am unaligned with Him, nothing makes me happy. I complain about everything and see the world negatively. Therefore, if we genuinely want to find happiness, we must seek the Lord. He can teach us how to live joyfully and to love unconditionally. I love it when I can live with gratitude in my heart and thank my Lord for my life. It’s one thing to be blessed and another to feel blessed.

Have a beautiful day!
