The battle belongs to God, and He is victorious.

Sometimes at the end of the day, when I feel the weakest, the enemy points out all my flaws and weaknesses. He loves to highlight all of my faults and failures for the day, and then if I listen, he will point them out for my whole life. The longer I give my attention to the negativity, the bigger it gets. I love it, however, when the Lord interrupts the enemy and takes up for me. I love it when He encourages me and tells me I am doing better than I think.

Usually, we can’t see our progress. We can only see the overwhelming mountain that we still have to climb. Instead of seeing all the steps, we have taken up the mountain already. Right before we get to the top, the enemy wants to discourage us and make us feel as if it is all hopeless. But if we keep moving forward and even talk to the Lord on our journey, we will eventually reach the top.

The journey is challenging.

We all want to quit at some point. We all wonder as the enemy discourages us, distracts, and attacks us if it is worth the effort. And my answer is yes. This is our beautiful life. We only get one shot at this. Therefore, we must give our lives everything we have to offer.
We need to fight with everything inside of us, sweet friends. The enemy wants it all. He wants our families. He wants to destroy our health. He wants our hopes and our dreams. Are you going to surrender to him, or are you going to fight?

When we get our feet planted just right, the enemy can’t do anything with us. Sure, he may cause us heartaches and troubles, but he cannot defeat the powerful spirit inside of us. The Lord will always help us. But He can’t help us if we give up.

I remember my daddy telling me to stop trying to quit on the Lord. There is no discharge in this war. We are on the battlefield. So let’s fight like mighty warriors for God because we are.

The Lord is on our side. This battle is His. And He is always victorious!

2 Chronicles 20:15 (KJV)
15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
