Taking the next step by faith

Having faith in something we can’t see but yet hope for is hard. It requires us to let go of everything we believe and to trust in power and intelligence above what we can understand. In these moments when we need our faith to be as big as a mustard seed, the only way we can get that level of trust is from God. It takes Him to speak peace and comfort to my soul before I can believe.

God’s voice is the only One that can overshadow my fear. When He speaks, my soul listens, and a power greater than anything I can explain emerges. Any time that I have ever exhibited great faith is because my God spoke mighty words to me.

Some people think that we do great things alone. But that’s not true. God holds my hand and walks with me every step of the way.

If I write something to help someone, God gives me the words and blesses them with His power.

If I say something to help someone else, it is because God put the words in my mouth.

If I do something extraordinary, God gives me the strength, courage, and ability to do it.

It is all by God and through Him. We are all as great as our ability to listen to Him. If we listen and follow where He leads us, He will make us look good. If we leave Him and try to do it alone, we will fail and become discouraged.

So many times, God has come to me in my darkest hour and encouraged me.

The doctor said to sign up for disability.

God whispered, sign up for the gym.

The agent said no one will publish your book because it doesn’t have the ability to touch anyone’s heart.

God whispered I’ll send the publisher to you and bless it above what you asked for and even dreamed.

The enemy said your hand is too damaged for surgery, and if you do it, you may never be able to use it again.

God said I will give you a thumb and the ability to use it.

My God always keeps His promises to me. He has never once let me down. When I feel down and discouraged, I love to look at the previous battles with my Lord. I love to remember how He made the way for me.

As we take the next step of this journey, the enemy tells me repeatedly that I can’t do it. He assures me that I will fail. But my God whispers, trust me. It will all work out better than you can even imagine.

So here we go.

Psalm 37:4-5 KJV

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Have a beautiful day!
