Is God On Your Radar?

It’s so easy to  get caught up in the drama of life. The constant bickering and fighting has a way of drawing our attention. If we are not careful, we can get distracted by the noise, and the need to complain.

This morning my thoughts were all over the place. I was sleepy, and my first thought was, I didn’t get enough sleep. Followed with, I can’t have cream in my coffee. Then, I don’t even know what to write about this morning. The bad thoughts continued to multiply. One leads to two, and then three, and before we realize it we are in a bad mood.

It would have been easy for me to continue on the negative train this morning. My thoughts were certainly in the right place. But once I realized what was happening, I stopped it immediately. I picked up my Bible and started reading.

Once I started searching for God and thoughts of gratitude, they appeared. Instead of being hateful this morning about silly stuff, I am thankful for another day. God woke me up this morning. I have another opportunity to enjoy my life and to make a difference in this world.

My life should never be just about me. When I focus on myself, then God is no longer on my radar. When I shift my thinking, however, and allow Him to be the center of my life, then my heart is filled with abundance. And I realize that I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

I am alive! I am well. My children are healthy. I have a wonderful church to attend this morning, and the freedom to worship my Lord. My needs are always met. And there is peace in my soul.

It doesn’t get any better than that.

Love and blessings,

Candida
