God’s Got You!

I’ve been in so much emotional pain that I didn’t think I could continue. I’ve struggled to breathe and felt as if the tidal waves of pain would never cease. During the storm’s intensity, I have desired to go home and be with my Lord. Why? Because my situation felt hopeless and I felt helpless. In my mind, I couldn’t see any way for my situation to be resolved.

While my strength might often fail, God’s strength is limitless. When we cry out to Him, He understands our pain. He knows exactly how to help us. We have to give Him time. He will work it all out in His time, in His way.

While we may be unable to change our situation, we can change our thoughts. We get to decide how we want to go through our trials. No one gets to decide how we feel—that’s our decision.

The enemy works in our thoughts. He wants us to feel hopeless. Therefore, he magnifies our heartaches. He wants us to give up because he can’t defeat us otherwise. When we feel we can’t go on, we need to turn to God. We need to remember who is fighting our battles for us. The devil has never defeated our Lord. God is our hope.

I love these scriptures. They comfort me and strengthen me in times of sorrow. And show me where my help comes from—MY FAITH INCREASES when I focus on the Lord and His mighty power.

2 Chronicles 20:15 (KJV)

15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

2 Chronicles 20:17 (KJV)

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:38-39 King James Version (KJV)

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV)

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
