God has what you need!

I remember how it all felt. The depression, anxiety for my future, and the pain of today, yesterday, and tomorrow all rolled into one. It smothered me and pulled me to a place I didn’t want to be.

It was what I imagined drowning to be like. The weight pulled me under until my body screamed in protest. Wildly,, I kicked for the surface but could never fully reach the top. I stayed in the dark places and wanted to surrender to the darkness.

But regardless of how much I desired the pain to be over, I could still see a tiny flicker of light. Every day, the little ray of sunshine helped me to get out of bed and continue fighting.

Regardless of how dark my life may get, I am so thankful for the light that shines through to me. God is the one who encourages me to try one more time. God gives me strength when I am weak.

Philippians 4:13 KJV

[13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Sweet friends, it is so important for us to remember that we are in a war. These attacks come from the enemy. He wants us to give up. When I think of how close I came to giving up, it brings me to tears. The enemy had me down, kicking me, trying to get me to give up and surrender to him.

I did surrender, but not to him. In my weakest moments, when I didn’t understand everything, I cried out to God. And my God showed up and helped me. He pulled me to the surface, held me in His strong arms, and protected me.

I had to hit rock bottom to understand that Jesus is my rock. He is my foundation, and my life is built on Him. The enemy can trouble my flesh but can’t touch my soul. It is hidden on the rock cliff, and God’s hand covers me.

Do you know the Lord? Is your life built on Him? Regardless of how dark your life may seem, I beg you to move toward the light. God has what you need.
