God doesn’t need me to fight His battles.

I can find a scripture to fit my every need. If I’m upset with someone or dislike their ways, I can find a scripture to condemn them. Until I remember that we are no longer under the law, but now, thank God, we are under the grace plan of salvation. The blood of Jesus covered every sin—past, present, and future.

Our world is changing. The Bible tells us these things will happen. Therefore we have a choice on how we want to handle things. We can magnify other people’s sins or shine a light on the One who can care for them.

Hatred, anger, bitterness, and strife will not give anyone a glimpse of our God. If we want to reach people who are different from us, we need to live a good life in front of them and show them God’s love every chance we get. Bashing someone else’s beliefs doesn’t make them want to accept our beliefs. It only pushes them away. If we truly want to reach others, we must love them.

The Bible tells us that love can cover a multitude of sins. No one is perfect. We all sin, fail and come short every day of our lives. If we could have lived a perfect life, then Jesus would not have had to die for our sins.

Satan loves to distract us from what is important. He uses things in the news to distract us. If we become outraged, we will want to fight for our Lord. But God doesn’t need us to fight for Him. The battle is His, and He can fight His own battles. Fighting about something does not ensure peace. If we want peace, we need to love everyone right where they are and pray for them. Prayer changes things. A humble prayer can cause miracles to happen.
