Are you wallowing in the rejection or pain?
Oh, sweet friend, I feel this. Sometimes, when we are in the trial, we can’t see clearly. We can only see the injustice without seeing the purpose. God knows the purpose, but as long as we are wallowing in the pain, we can’t heal and move on.
God doesn’t want us to stay in the wallowing. He invites us into the following.
As long as I keep replaying what happened and how it hurt me, then I can’t move forward with the Lord. He saw it all. And for whatever reason, God allowed it to happen. When I look at it that way, I can go to a deeper understanding. God thought it was more beneficial to allow it to happen than to stop it.
So, I can continue to hold onto the hurt, or I can release it to God.
Managing it keeps it at the forefront of my mind. The longer I think about it, the more opportunities I give the enemy to magnify it. He will spin every possible angle to me. And have me in bad shape.
The enemy doesn’t just want me to wallow in the pain. He wants me to drown in it. To kill my influence and all of the good I have done or will do.
No attacks from Satan are easy or harmless. They are meant to destroy what God has planted in us. Meaning if we follow him, it will kill what God has planted and purposed in us.
The longer we try to make sense of what happened, the more power we give it. I can’t make sense of the enemy and his attacks. They are unfair and merciless.
But what I can do is go to God. I can ask for strength to bury what was meant to destroy me. I can ask God to change my thinking, my feelings, and to give me my orders for the day.
God is not a part of my life. He is my life.
He is the foundation of everything. My God is a master of taking unfairness and pain and transforming it into something amazing. To trust Him fully means letting go of it all and letting Him use me.
Today, I am ready to step out of the wallowing and step into the following.
God gave me these gifts. Every book has been guided by Him. I do it all for my, Lord. Not for the approval or praise of men.
Colossians 3:23 KJV
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
