Finding Blessings in Every Day: The Power of Gratitude and Faith

As I spent some time reading through my gratitude journal this morning, it made me feel so blessed.
Years ago, I started the habit of writing down at least five things I am grateful for daily. My goal is to write down something specific from the previous day. It teaches my brain to search my days for my blessings. I don’t just write general things, but I make them specific. Then, I write five things I love.
I start my day every morning with a grateful, loving mindset because I focus on those things. I intentionally put God’s word into my mind. I don’t know what might happen to me each day, so I want to prepare with the Lord. I ask Him to guide me to what I need to read.
This simple practice has helped me so much. Regardless of what my days look like, I still find things to be grateful for and things I love. Sometimes, God gives me verses to help me grow and learn more about Him and how to live. At other times, He comforts me and encourages me.
However, when I make time for Him every day and genuinely desire to spend time with Him, He shows up and helps me. God helps me continuously put things into perspective.
Sometimes, when we go through hard times, all we remember is the struggle, but writing about the blessings amid the struggles is so powerful. We learn to be grateful for the things we never really thought about before.
Seeing what I was grateful for during the most challenging moments helps me see things differently. Sometimes, it allows me to see how God changed me through my circumstances.
Sweet friends, I highly recommend a daily gratitude and Bible reading practice. It has helped me overcome negative thoughts and develop the mindset of an overcomer.
