Standing Firm in Truth: Recognizing Deception and God’s Guidance

Sometimes, we forget that the enemy has great power. The Bible tells us that Satan transformed into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Therefore, he has ways to deceive us, but not for long.

When we are saved, God puts something special inside of us. He gives us an inner knowing and wisdom that cannot be explained. We just know when something or someone feels off. God will reveal things to us if we tune into that inner knowing.

Most of the time, the minute we feel the nudge, the enemy rushes into our thoughts and urges us to justify and dismiss the warning. When this happens, it is so important to pray about it and ask God to reveal the truth to us and help us understand.

I know how hard it can be to face the truth sometimes. God has shown me things I didn’t want to see, things that seemed unreal to me. But once God blesses us to see things, we can’t unsee them.

God showed them to us for a reason. Therefore, we have to be bold and stand with the truth. While the cost of standing with the truth is hard, the cost of not standing with it is even more challenging and more costly.

It could be the difference between life and death.

I want to stand with the Lord, regardless of what it costs me. Because I know the horrible pain of disobedience, I would rather suffer for my obedience. If I suffer for obedience, God is with me. He comforts me and stands with me.

However, if I follow the enemy, I stand alone. When it all falls apart, no one is there for us. Satan tears our lives apart and then laughs at us as we are left to deal with the misery of it all.

Becoming aware of my Lord’s guidance has helped me so much. I constantly check in with Him to ensure I’m following Him on the right path. I never want to worship or follow anyone but my Lord and His spirit.

The price for accepting a lie and not standing with the truth is high, and I don’t want to suffer for it.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 KJV

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
