Nothing can separate us from God. Reading God’s promises in the Bible and how He vows to care for me brings me to tears. Oh, how the Lord loves us. Honestly, I don’t think my mind fully comprehends His love and the magnitude of His power.
The enemy tries to beat us down. He spews lies constantly, trying to get us to doubt our Lord and His ability to care for us. Isn’t that the very definition of worry?
But when I read these verses, it restores my hope.
Romans 8:37-39 KJV
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are more than conquerors. God cares for those He loves. When we got saved, we received a forever God. He will be with us through every step of this journey.
If we allow Him, God will guide us, help us with every part of our journey, comfort us, encourage us, strengthen us, and inspire us. We lack nothing. In our precious Lord, we have everything we need.
But sometimes, we choose not to follow Him. We make our own choices and live small, fearful lives. Instead of living as if we believe the scriptures, we live in fear, according to the lies of the enemy.
I wish I could say I have never lived that way, but the first part of my life has been fear-based. But I want the next part to be faith-based.
I want to live as a conqueror as if the Lord loves me. I want God’s scriptures to be the program running in my mind. When the enemy brings fear before me, I want to rebuke it with God’s word.
So, I have gone through the Bible and found some of God’s promises to us. I’ve recorded them, and I want to read some of them every day. As the enemy spews hate and fear, I want to be rooted and grounded in faith and God’s love.
Every day, I want to invite God into my life. And ask Him to spend time with me. I want to be surrounded by His goodness. I know the more I allow God to pour into me, the more I will have to give others.
