How often do we carry burdens and heartaches that God never intended for us to hold?
Sweet friends, God wants to bear them for us. Strength is not in seeing how many hardships we can carry each day. True power is when we ask God to help us and then leave each one at the altar of His feet.
Trying to do it all overwhelms us and causes us to feel discouraged. However, when we take it all to God, He can help us see what is essential. During our trials, the enemy tries to confuse us. He wants us to follow him and our fleshly desires instead of God. The confusion is my trigger to pray. God doesn’t try to confuse us. Therefore, when I feel torn and confused, I need to pray. Amid the confusion, God will show us the way.
When I feel uncertain and overwhelmed, I am learning to pray and then journal. God has such a beautiful way of showing me things on paper. Journaling helps me get it all out of my head and see what is going on. Sometimes, just writing it down helps me gain clarity.
Whatever we go through, regardless of how bad it may seem, God can help us. He can bring us through the strongest storms and allow us to grow through it all. We can praise God through the hardships.
Ephesians 3:13 (KJV)
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Instead of seeing my trial as a hardship, I want to see it as a blessing. I want to praise my Lord for every step and grow closer to Him.
