How do you want to interpret life?

Circumstances are neutral. The meaning we give things makes us feel a certain way. And the most beautiful part is that we get to interpret our own lives.

We can look for bad things, and we will find them. We can choose to see the ugly side of everything and complain continuously. We can allow little things to irritate us and constantly live in an aggravated and worried state. Or we can ask God to help us see things differently.

Living in a peaceful, loving state makes me feel so good. Every day, I want to feel love, joy, and peace. Therefore, I must think those types of thoughts.

It doesn’t just happen. We have to choose beautiful thoughts consciously. We can truly be as happy as we choose to be. Even if things are not ideal right now, we can make a plan and work towards the life we want.

We get to choose the kind of person we want to be. We can complain and look for the worst in everyone and everything, making us and everyone around us miserable. Or we can look for the good in all things and see the beauty in others.

God gave us the freedom of choice, but we are not free from our choices. Everything we think and believe affects us in some way. It will either lift us or tear us down. We will become negative if we continuously tune into the negativity and think about it all day.

I don’t want to hear about all the bad stuff happening in the world, and I don’t want to give the enemy my attention. Some people do bad things just to be famous and get attention. Therefore, I refuse to provide them with my time and attention.

I want my thoughts to be centered on the Lord and His grace, mercy, and love. I want to heed the scriptures and think Godly thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 KJV

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

For years, I allowed the enemy to create a prison in my mind. I suffered because I listened to him. He used fear to control me. I gave him so much power over me because I allowed fear to dictate my life.

Then, God opened my eyes. He showed me that the enemy creates illusions and then uses those illusions to manipulate us. If we run to God when we feel fear, He will help us navigate it. But the enemy will use it against us if we stay in fear.

God can help us interpret life and get the most out of it. He can open our eyes and give us a Godly perspective about everything. God can help us to see opportunities and blessings we would have otherwise missed. He will also help us navigate every part of our lives so we can live our very best lives.
