Have you ever noticed that we will believe the enemy’s thoughts over the word of God?

The enemy works through our fears. He likes to create waves of confusion to wash over us. In the uncertainty of it all, Satan tries to get us to doubt God’s ability to care for us and to make the impossible things possible.

Regardless of what the enemy does, it does not phase God. God’s not scared nor confused. He knows Satan is a liar. God doesn’t get swept away in the pretend tragedies or illusions of the enemy.

When uncertain, I love remembering that my God is not the author of confusion or the spirit of fear. God already has everything that I need. He has the wisdom, knowledge, strength, power, and resources for me. I feel lacking because I view it through my beliefs and abilities.

Faith is when I can take the first step without any guarantees. Sometimes, faith doesn’t make sense to me; my mind wants proof. But to follow God, we must follow His voice, not ours.

Have you ever noticed that we will believe the enemy’s thoughts over the word of God?

Eve did the same thing. She listened to the serpent as he disputed God’s word. The enemy appeals to the weakness of our flesh. But God’s word speaks to our soul. The enemy likes to create illusional storms inside of us. He creates a perfect storm of worry, fear, and confusion to distract us from God’s truth.

God’s word is the only thing that can speak peace to my troubled soul. I love knowing that my God can heal, calm, and help me. If we let God calm the storm raging inside us, the ones outside of us won’t be as powerful.

Matthew 17:20 King James Version

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Sweet friends, the enemy knows the power of God and the power we have when we have faith in God. Satan doesn’t want us to move mountains, so he creates illusions in our minds. But we can defeat him by believing God’s word wholeheartedly. God can even help our unbelief.

The most powerful thing we can do is take all our doubts, worries, lies, and fears to God. When we tell God what the enemy has been telling us, He can help us overcome each one.
