From Lies to Love: Restoring Joy Through God’s Truth

If we follow him, the enemy will turn us into someone we don’t like or want to be. He will have us fight with others, talk about them, judge them, complain about everything, and look for everything wrong. When we are miserable, we are right where he wants us to be.

We don’t praise the Lord in our misery. We resent it and might even allow it to make us mad at God, especially if we think He should have done things differently. If we spend enough time with the enemy, he will have us complaining about our blessings.

Seeing the bad in others is easy because the enemy magnifies them and points out every little thing. If we do this long enough, we will only see the bad in others. We will focus on the flesh and fail to see the soul.

In this state, we block the flow of love.

Lately, I have thought so much about God’s love. It’s different from the love of the world. When we love others just as they are, we can give them a glimpse of our Lord. God is love.

God left us here after He saved us to be a witness to Him. One of the most important things we can do daily is show someone else a glimpse of God’s love.

When I open my mouth, I want God’s words to spill out. I don’t want to speak the words of my enemy, so I need to watch and pray.

The enemy sneaks in. It starts with little things. He sees what he can get away with. If we believe and react to the first lie, he throws another one our way. Each time, it contains more venom. The longer we accept his lies and believe them, the more poison that enters us. It can truly make us sick and destroy our relationships.

Sweet friends, when we recognize the enemy’s voice, we need to call out to the Lord. While we might not have the power to stop it alone, the Lord is all-powerful. He can stop it instantly and restore our thoughts to love and peace. The only way we can show others God is to show them love.
