Finding Direction: How to Trust God Fully

What does it mean to trust God fully?

Seeing all the heartaches I have caused myself breaks my heart. All because I didn’t take it to the Lord in prayer. I relied on my wisdom and understanding and followed the knowledge of my mind.

Stepping out in faith and following the Lord doesn’t make sense to my brain. The enemy works in my mind. He uses fear and doubts to control me. And because I don’t want to feel uncomfortable or anything painful, I listen to him. Then, I end up right amid a storm.

The good news is that my God loves me and can control the storms. Regardless of where I wander, He can find me and help me get back on the right track. But I can’t erase the damage I might have done while following the enemy, nor can I get back the time I wasted.

Therefore, I want to follow my Lord and trust Him to do what is best for me. While following the Lord can be painful initially because it usually goes against our fleshly desires, the blessings are beyond the pain.

Actually, the Lord blesses every step we take with Him along the journey.
God can even make the hard things a little easier. He can bless us in the trenches. My heart desires to follow my Lord and to trust Him to help.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
