Can People See God in You?

We can read all the scriptures, go to church every Sunday, and pray daily, but if we don’t apply them to our lives and let God transform us, it is just words. We never fully discover the power behind the words. 

1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV

20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

It’s how we live our lives. Something powerful happens when we allow God to transform how we live. We surrender our will for God’s. We surrender to His rule in our lives, and the evidence of His kingdom begins to show through us. And it reflects outward. 

We choose forgiveness, even when the flesh wants revenge. 

We choose faith amid the fear because we trust God.

We choose surrender, even when we want to control outcomes, because we know God will do what is best for us. 

There is tremendous power in a life that completely trusts God. Even when we don’t understand everything. Power is stepping forward in obedience when we can’t see the way. It’s when our words turn into actions. 

We let Him use our pain to help someone else. It’s following Jesus even when the way is difficult. And our minds can’t understand where He is taking us. 

Some of the greatest moments in my life have occurred when I stepped out in faith, surrendered the outcome, and decided to praise my Lord through the storms. 

My thumb story is a wonderful example. I went into surgery with complete faith in my Lord. I didn’t know the outcome, but my heart rejoiced and praised Him beforehand. I knew that regardless of what He chose for me, it would be the best outcome possible. 

I still had pain. I still struggled to use my thumb. But God didn’t let the struggles discourage me. He walked through every part of the journey with me. In the impossible, God showed me that He can make things possible. 

I didn’t just say that I trusted God. I moved in faith, and God greatly blessed my outcome. 

When we surrender our lives to Him, He can do things that we can’t even imagine. God can use His power and transform our lives. 

The evidence of God’s power in our lives isn’t found only in what we say about Him. It’s found in what happens when His truth transforms the way we think, love, forgive, trust, and live.
