Bring your pain to God and let Him transform it.
Sweet friend, if we stop in the middle of the pain, we may miss what God wanted to grow through it. It hurt without helping.
Sometimes, pain becomes a blessing in God’s hands. If you feel like rolling your eyes or shaking your head at that absurd statement, I get it. I really do. When I’m in pain, it’s hard to see anything beyond the suffering. But it’s there.
So many times, the pain has consumed me, and it has even felt like the end. I’ve wondered how I could endure such trials without them destroying me. One day, I physically struggled to put one foot in front of the other. Each step felt so challenging. Like I was trying to go forward with bricks on my legs and a wall in my path.
I’ve taken the physical and psychological attacks from the enemy. He has beaten me down so many times, and yet my God always lifts me up. He has shown up in my fiery trials and protected me. Not only does He protect me from destruction, but He also gives me a beautiful testimony of the situation.
It goes something like this:
The enemy attacked me, and God strengthened me.
The enemy attacked me, and God used me to help others.
The enemy attacked me, and God taught me how to overcome.
My God uses it all for good. Every ounce of it. God doesn’t promise us a life of ease without any hardships. He promises to be with us through the hardships and to use it all for good. God turns our heartaches into blessings.
Romans 8:28 KJV
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:37-39 KJV
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The enemy can attack us, but he can’t defeat us. We fight these battles from victory in Christ Jesus.
