When Obedience Changes Everything

The enemy whispers: Your obedience doesn’t matter. What will it accomplish anyway?

We all experience the silent attacks of the enemy. He whispers his lies to us all. He shows up in the vulnerable moments to see if he can sabotage us. And, to be honest, he can be very convincing. 

If we listen to him long enough, he will have us convinced that we are not important to God and that the things God told us to do are unimportant. 

Imagine if Noah had listened to the enemy. His disobedience would have killed him and his family. As it turns out, the opposite happened. His obedience saved himself and his family. 

We don’t know how God might bless our obedience. It could be something that truly changes our lives and those of our family. And that is why the enemy fights us so hard. He knows that our obedience mixed with God’s power is a strong combination. 

We can use our energy to fight against what the Lord has called us to do, or we can surrender to His will and do whatever He wants us to do with our whole heart. That’s the pathway to peace and joy. 

Resistance is a form of disobedience. It silently rejects God’s will. 

Surrender, on the other hand, is a beautiful form of obedience. We don’t have to know the plan to follow the Lord. 

I love it when God takes me through something difficult and makes it look so easy. I love it when He makes a way when there is no way. I love it when He shows up in my darkness with His marvelous light. 

Sweet friend, there is nothing comparable to working with God. His blessings are a cascade of joy.
