What If Hardship Is the Blessing?

I want a beautiful Christian life with absolutely no suffering.
Sign me up for all the amazing moments with God—but I don’t want to endure any pain to get to the blessings.
Doesn’t that sound wonderful?
I won’t lie—it sounds amazing. And if that option existed, I would probably take it. But the more I read my Bible, the more I realize that this isn’t God’s way.
A life with no challenges or obstacles doesn’t carry much power. An easy life doesn’t inspire others to seek God during their hardest moments.
Some of the most powerful, memorable, and awe-inspiring stories in the Bible have hardship woven throughout them. When we see someone overcome what feels impossible, it gives us hope that we can overcome our struggles too.
Faith paired with action is what transforms hardship into a beautiful blessing.
When we witness faith lived out courageously, it stirs something deep within us. It reminds us that God is still working—and that victory is possible, even in the pain.
Sweet friends, God doesn’t allow hardship without purpose. Each one is thoughtfully and strategically used for growth—both ours and the encouragement of others. We are asked to trust Him with our lives, even when the road is hard.
So while my flesh longs for ease, my soul longs for growth and inspiration.
Colossians 2:7 (KJV)
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
