Surrender Is the Path to Blessing.

Writing with God can be so challenging to my flesh. Sometimes God gives me ideas far beyond what my mind can understand, and immediately, resistance shows up. I begin to question it—not because it’s wrong, but because I don’t yet understand it.

That’s when God reminds me that obedience is following Him even when I don’t understand.

Miracles occur in obedience.

We can’t truly follow the Lord if we question every step He asks us to take. God already knows the way. And if we follow Him, He will lead us exactly where we need to go.

However, if we choose to live and work in our own strength and understanding, we can do that too. God allows us free will. But when we rely solely on ourselves, the blessings are often small—or nonexistent. We cannot live a truly abundant life by following our own wisdom or the opinions of others.

God knows the formula for blessing and abundance, just as He knew the way to the Promised Land for the children of Israel. Yet they wandered in the wilderness for forty years—not because God didn’t know the way, but because of disobedience and unbelief.

Following God requires surrender.

We cannot be in control if God is truly leading. He is the Way-maker—not us.

Deuteronomy 5:33 (KJV)
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Sweet friends, I’ve learned that believing God’s Word is not enough—we must act on it.

James 1:22 (KJV)
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Obedience means doing what God asks, whether we understand it or not. Surrendering to God and walking in obedience is where blessing flows. Anything less is disobedience—and Scripture is clear that God does not reward disobedience.

James 4:17 (KJV)
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Whenever we find ourselves in places of uncertainty, prayer brings clarity. God may not reveal the entire plan, but He will always give us the next step.

I didn’t understand salvation when God first called me. I didn’t know how everything would work. But I took the first step in faith—and God took care of the rest.

That’s how He works.
One step of obedience at a time.
