Is There Room for Jesus?

Is there room in your heart, mind, and daily life for God?
It has always bothered me that there was no room for them in the inn. God gave us such a precious gift when He gave us Jesus. In the sweet baby lying in the manger was the gift of eternal life for us all—if we would only accept it. And yet, the world could not find any room.
Luke 2:7 KJV
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
As I reflect on this, God gently reminds me that we, too, get to decide whether there will be room in our hearts and lives for Jesus.
Do we fill ourselves so full of worldly things that we turn Him away as well?
Do we turn away His invitation of eternal salvation?
Do we turn Him away when He wants to spend time with us?
Do we choose busyness, distraction, or comfort instead of worship?
Do we follow after other things that promise fulfillment instead of the One who was born so that He could die for our sins?
Joshua 24:15 KJV
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Every single day, we are given the opportunity to make room in our lives for Jesus. We choose whether to invite Him in—or quietly turn Him away.
And when we do invite Him in, He never comes empty-handed. He brings gifts beyond measure—love that heals, peace that steadies us, and joy that cannot be explained by our circumstances.
There is still room.
The question is—will we make it?
