Holding on to Jesus in the Unknown

Life is uncertain. We don’t know what might happen in the next moment. To realize this can be so scary. And sometimes I allow the fear to overwhelm me.

But when I cry out to Jesus, I find an anchor in something bigger and stronger and greater than my fear.

Hebrews 6:19 KJV

19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Lately, my life has felt like a puzzle torn apart. As the pieces fall, I don’t know where they might land. If I’m being honest, the uncertainty scares me, especially when the devil predicts the outcome.

But in those moments, if I can lift my eyes to Jesus, He will help me.

During times of uncertainty, I love to focus on what I am certain of. What I know for sure is that Jesus holds me secure. He has everything I need. And according to the scripture, He will work it all out for my good.

All of it.

Since I can’t change my circumstances, I am reframing my thoughts about them.

God sees us, sweet friends. He sees our hardships and knows how it will all work out. God is our certainty in an uncertain world. When my strength ends, His begins. And when I can find gratitude in each thing, it makes me appreciate my life even more.

Today, I am looking for as many things as I can find to be grateful for, and I want to feel the gratitude in my heart truly. Instead of rushing through it, I want to pause in the moments and praise my Lord for the little things in my life that make such a big difference.

Will you join me?
