Feeling Broken Doesn’t Mean You Have to Live Broken

Just because we feel broken doesn’t mean that we have to live our lives and see our world as broken.
Our feelings are real, but they are not always truthful.

In the garden, when Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, sin came into us all. So often we focus on the sin and magnify it, forgetting that Jesus died for the forgiveness of all our sins. Jesus restored us with His love. Through Him, we are all able to overcome our hardships.

We will never get to the place of ease. Life will always have some type of challenges.
Faith does not remove hardship, but it gives us a firm foundation to stand on when hardship comes.

Instead of allowing our hardships to defeat us, we need to remember who our God is. God spoke the whole world into existence. He is all-powerful. Right now, in this very minute, God could speak peace to our troubled souls. He could calm the storm. I have learned that if He is not helping me with my troubles, it is because I am not asking Him to, nor listening to His voice.

Like Eve, we can’t just do whatever we want to do without consequences.
Obedience is not about fear—it is about trust.

If we go against the voice of our Lord, then we will have more troubles than we can handle. Through our obedience to God, we can find peace, even in the midst of the storm. While He might not always fix our problem right away because He has a purpose, He will calm us. God has blessed me to rejoice in the midst of my sorrow.

In our world, there is both good and evil. We get to decide which one will rule our lives. God gave us freedom of choice. Therefore, we need to search every day for the good. We need to fix our eyes upon God and desire His blessings. When we truly desire Him in our hearts, then He will bless us abundantly in all that we do.

This is the hope we are given in Christ.

My heart was once broken in sin, but God gave me a new heart when He saved me. He took my heart of flesh and gave me a heart like His. This heart loves everyone. It feels compassion and extends kindness to all. I am so thankful that God knew my need and sent His Son to fulfill the grace plan of salvation. Therefore, I will not focus on the brokenness of my world, but rather the love of my God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
