Do you see the light amid the darkness?

Sometimes we go through really dark times in our lives — seasons when it seems as if the heartaches stack upon each other with no break in between. One day, God gave me a glimpse of one of those times. I remembered the fear and uncertainty of it all. No matter how strong we think we are, some situations still knock us down.

But the beautiful thing about God is this: He never leaves us in the darkness.

He comes to us. He comforts us. He whispers hope into the places we think will never heal.

During that particular trial, God began giving me encouraging scriptures and promises to cling to through the hardest days. The “fear nots” — like the ones shown in the picture from the Thompson Chain Reference Bible — became lifelines to my weary soul.

Even though God doesn’t prevent us from walking into the fire, He walks in it with us.

And when we seek Him with our whole hearts, we find Him there.

God never intended for us to carry our burdens alone. He wants us to give them to Him.

But the enemy wants the exact opposite. He wants us to carry everything ourselves until we break under the pressure. He wants to overwhelm us with fear, anxiety, and hopelessness.

Whatever you are holding today, sweet friend, I encourage you to hand it to God.

He will take your heartaches and exchange them for His peace.

And even in the darkest moments, God will provide a ray of hope — a reminder that you are not alone, that He is still working, and that light always breaks through.
