Why I Do What I Do?

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that I have increased my blog post. I went from being the occasional blogger to writing one daily. The increase has been so hard. While I’ve been doing it long enough to establish a habit, my mind still wants to quit every day. It’s hard to sit down and look inside of myself and expose my vulnerability. So why do I do it?

Because I’ve been there. During my darkest of times, I begged God to send someone to help me. Now, I’d like to be that person for you.

I know how it feels to be scarred and to live with the pain of those scars. I know what it feels like to be worried about something beyond my control. I know how it feels to stand in the shadows—afraid to make friends. I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and dislike my reflection. I know what it feels like to not be good enough, to be self-conscious, and to self-sabatoge. I know how it feels to be shy and depressed and to feel like no one understands. I have been there. I’ve walked in those shoes. And my dear, sweet friends I know what it feels like to overcome it all.

Every day as I grab my laptop and sit down to write my mind is blank. I stare at the blank screen for a few moments and then I ask God to help me. To give me something to help someone else. As the words start pouring out of me, I know that my God has delivered again. When people praise me, I praise my Lord. It was not me that knew what to say to help them. It was my God. I am just His vessel. He can’t use me, however, if I don’t show up.

A few months ago, I committed to sharing my thoughts and feelings every day and it has helped me as well. Because I know that I have to post a blog every day, I am continuously searching for content and reading my Bible. It also forces me to rely on God.

As we go into the new year, I would love to share more of my story with you. In the last few years, I have transformed my life. I know what it takes to change our mindset to get the results that we want. And I’d love to help you as well. Send me a message at candidasullivan@yahoo.com, if you’re interested.

Love and blessings,

Candida
