Is Your Pain So Deep That You Feel the Only Way to Make It Stop Is to End Your Life?

Sweet friend, if you just nodded or even quietly felt understood, I am so sorry. I’ve been there too. I know what it feels like to cry myself to sleep and wonder if God has forgotten me. I know what it feels like to pray over and over and still feel no relief. I know how terrifying the what-ifs can be.

If you feel unseen right now, please hear this:

You are not alone. God sees you. God loves you. And your life matters.

Even when it feels like God is nowhere to be found, He is there. Sometimes we walk through deep valleys without realizing He is walking beside us. While we may not understand the pain, God has a way of using even our darkest moments to bring help, hope, and healing to others — including ourselves.

I remember the first time I shared my story in front of hundreds of kids. When I spoke the words I had once been afraid to say out loud, I saw the pain on some of their faces — and I also saw relief. They weren’t alone anymore. Sometimes our experiences become someone else’s lifeline. Sometimes pain becomes a bridge that leads someone to hope.

The truth is, no matter how low I fell, God always gave me one small spark of hope — enough to hold onto for one more day. And it’s incredible what one spark can do. Even when I couldn’t feel Him, God was reaching for me through the pain.

Is God reaching out to you right now?

He is the still, small voice that whispers, Keep going. Don’t give up.
He is the quiet spark that refuses to leave your heart.
He is the waymaker who opens paths that don’t exist yet.

Sweet friend, please don’t give up. Your story isn’t over.
The pain you feel right now will not last forever. God is working, even in the dark places. One day, you will look back on this season and see how God held you through it — even when it didn’t look the way you hoped.

There is a way forward. There is a tomorrow.
And God is walking you toward it.
