Trading Burdens for Blessings

Most of the time, we feel exhausted because of all the baggage we carry with us throughout the day. We carry our troubles, judgments, worries, fears, and grudges. All of those things weigh us down. When we are focused on the heartache, we cannot feel the love, peace, and joy that our hearts long to feel.

The enemy wants to weigh us down. He wants us to carry every fear, worry, and heartache. When we are weighed down with these things, we don’t have any strength left to carry a burden for a lost soul or for someone who is struggling.

However, when we decide to release it all unto the Lord, He will replace our troubles with His peace and love. This is something that I am truly working on each day. I want to release it all to Him and surrender my life to His will. I know that when I fully release each heartache and expectation of what I want my life to be, He will mold me into the person He created me to be. In the center of His will, I will find the peace, love, and joy that my heart desires. Even amid heartache, God can bless us abundantly.

Our thoughts are not God’s, and our ways are not His.

When things don’t happen as I imagined, I find myself becoming fearful, and then the resistance appears. This is when I start to back up on the Lord—trying to find my own way. What I want to do, however, is embrace the pain and lean into the resistance. I know that if I can do this, God will bless me in ways my mind cannot even fathom. His plans for me are greater than anything that I can even imagine.
