The Enemy Doesn’t Fight Fair—But God Fights for Me

Joshua 1:9 KJV
[9] Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

I love it when a scripture speaks so beautifully to my heart, reassures me, and gives me the hope I need. Life is hard. Sometimes, it feels like I go from hardship to obstacle without getting a break to catch my breath.

The enemy knows my weakest spots and pounces on me continuously. My adversary is relentless, and he doesn’t fight fair. There is no compassion in our battle with him.

But we have a great weapon. We have God.

God is full of love and compassion. He knows how to defeat the enemy. God knows Satan’s next move and every move afterward. Satan can’t shock God or catch Him unaware. The enemy only has the power that God allows him to have.

Therefore, we can be strong in our faith and trust in God. We can have courage amid our fear because we know who our protector is. Nothing can separate us from God. He is with us always.

When the battle makes us weak and weary, we must run to God. In His arms, we find everything that we need. God can strengthen us and give us the courage to continue. We all get down sometimes and experience feelings of hopelessness, but God has the hope we all so desperately need.

The more I read the scriptures, the more I realize His love for me. Each battle gives us what we need to praise and honor Him. When I can keep my eyes on Him, He feels closer.

Sweet friends, we are not alone, even though the enemy tries to make us feel alone. God is always with us. He’s one faith call away. He can comfort us through the hard times and give us what we need.
