The Answer You’ve Been Missing

Jeremiah 33:3 KJV

3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

I’m grateful for this gift when I consider this verse and allow its meaning to touch my heart. With His wisdom, knowledge, and power, the God of the Universe invites me to call upon Him. I GET TO talk to God and ask Him things. 

Sometimes, we overlook this beautiful and mighty gift. It’s so incredible that I want to say it again: we get to talk to God. 

At any time, God is there for us. He has everything we need. God’s resources are unlimited. His power is unexplainable. And He is one faith call away.

We don’t have to suffer; we can call upon the Lord. Even if He doesn’t change our situation, He can comfort and help us understand. God can bless us in the storms. 

We often don’t receive the Lord’s blessings because we don’t ask Him for them. We don’t have the understanding we need because we don’t spend enough time with Him. 

I spend so much time and cause a lot of aggravation trying to figure things out for myself or by trying to make the wrong things right. If it’s not God’s will, I can cause many problems and stress by trying to make it happen. I can work day and night and pray continuously, but if it’s not what God purposed for me, my efforts are wasted. 

I wish I could tell you I’ve never done that, but I have. I’ve worked myself sick and wasted time trying to make my way. I’ve been so focused on my plan that I ignored the nudges from God telling me I was going the wrong way. I allowed the enemy to make me so busy that I felt like I didn’t have time to sit with God. 

However, when I follow the Lord, He opens the doors that need to be opened and makes the way. And He helps me grow along the way. 

We make our lives harder when we leave God out of the details. God wants to help us and show us things we don’t know. He’s waiting for us to call upon Him.
