Showing Up in the Quiet Moments: The Power of Faithful Consistency

Are you trying to figure it out? Does it feel overwhelming and discouraging?

As I read my Bible this morning, the scriptures spoke to me. I love it when God blesses me to see and understand something in a different way. When it feels like He’s been reading my mind and my troubled heart, and He has something to soothe all the worries away.

This morning, God showed me something profound. I don’t have to figure out the plan or try to make it all happen. I don’t have to prove my worth to agents and publishers. All I need to do is be faithful with what God has given me to do.

Sometimes that’s the quiet moments of obedience at 4 a.m. when my eyes are sleepy, and my flesh wants to go back to sleep, and yet I write and study God’s word. Those moments can feel unimportant, but they show God that I am faithful to Him and to this calling.

I show up when nobody is watching. I write when no one reads what I write. I make videos when it feels like no one even watches them. I don’t do it for fame or fortune. I do it because I want to show God I trust Him and that He can count on me.

When we learn to use what we have and what we know, God will bless it and make it enough. He can even turn a little into abundance. Fear causes us to bury our gifts. Faithfulness causes God to multiply them.

Matthew 25:21 KJV

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

According to this scripture, when I am faithful with what God has given me, I can enter into the joy of the Lord.

God’s blessings are joyful and something the world can’t mimic. They reach deeper into our hearts and touch our souls. Every time God blesses me, I am changed in some way. I have more to give and more to be grateful for.

Today, I am so grateful that God takes time to talk to me and teach me. I love learning about Him and getting to work with Him.

Sweet friends, God has everything we need. And the best part is that He wants to give it to us.
