Overcome Evil With Good

We have favor with God. His love for us is boundless and free. Once His beautiful love and peace enters our soul, there is nothing that we can do to mess it up. We might drift away from the Lord, and do things we shouldn’t do, but nothing will take away the beautiful gift that He gave us.
In moments of adversity, we have two choices. We can either A) Get mad at God and drift away from Him, or B) Draw closer to Him, knowing that every hardship is for our benefit.
God doesn’t leave us. He doesn’t get mad at us and walk away. We are the ones who turn our hearts away from Him. When we leave Him during our hardships, then we create an even bigger problem.
The evil of this world is not stronger than the Lord. The devil cannot overcome our God. If we want to advance in our lives and live well, then we need to welcome Him into our lives—as well as our hearts.
When we allow God to be the center of our lives, and lead us in the right direction then the evil will not be able to overtake us either. God wants us to be kind to one another. He left us in this world to shine our light to the world. People should be able to glimpse into our lives and see our Lord.
Winning the battles of this world are useless. It profits nothing. Hurting someone else is not strength—it is weakness. Real strength is finding a quiet place and bowing our heads in prayer. When we take our problems to the Lord, He will fight our battles for us.
