Jesus Has Already Defeated Your Giant

The enemy only has the power over us that we give him. Regardless of what he tells us or does to us, we get to decide how we will react. We get to decide if we will resist his lies or take them into our hearts and minds and nurture them. While we can’t resist him alone, we can cry out to Jesus.

Jesus has been in our shoes; he has faced Satan and defeated him. Therefore, He knows how to help us overcome him as well. My biggest problem is that I don’t take everything to God in prayer. I try to fix things myself and face the giants in my life alone, which is where I get into trouble.

Dealing with Satan is more than we can handle. However, when I take it to the Lord in prayer, He always has a solution for me. God wants us to bring our troubles to Him. Every hardship matters to God. He loves us so much, and He wants to help us.

Today, if you feel overwhelmed and stressed, I encourage you to take it all to the Lord. Lay each burden at Jesus’ feet, and then watch with simplicity how He takes care of each one.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
