God Wants To Spend Time With You

Have you ever desired to spend time with someone, but the person was too busy? Have you ever felt the ache in the deep places of your heart from this kind of separation?

That ache we feel in our hearts is love longing to be received — and I imagine God feels it, too.

God probably feels the same way about us. Oh, how He longs to have a relationship with each of us. He wants us to put aside everything else in the world and spend time with Him. He wants us to call out in prayer and talk to Him. He longs to spend time with us daily.

Knowing this and feeling the ache in my own heart makes me want to use more of my time to get even closer to Him and those I love so much. Life is so short. It is like a vapor—here one minute and gone the next.

Therefore, I want to look at my life and how I am spending my precious time. I want to evaluate it daily.

The enemy wants to draw us away from God and our loved ones. He doesn’t do it all at once, but he slowly pulls us away — through distractions, busyness, and noise. Until we open our eyes one day and wonder how in the world we ended up here. In a place we don’t like, surrounded by people we don’t even know.

We have to make an effort to control our own lives and to do what is right. Otherwise, we will be swept away by the pleasures of the world. The enemy always has something to entice us with. He will always try to stand in the way of our loving God. Therefore, we need to make God a priority in our lives.

But when I quiet my heart and return to Him, I feel His presence again—gentle, loving, and near.

I love it when I can open my eyes and see His blessings all around me. My best days are the days spent in the present moment, praying and thanking God for each one. I love it when my mind searches for the blessings that He has bestowed upon me, and then my heart feels the gratitude for each one. I love it when I feel so close to God. And I know that He loves it, too.

We are His precious children, and He loves to hear from us. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or how badly we’ve messed up. God is waiting to hear from us. He loves every one of us individually. No one else can ever take your place with Him. You are so very special to Him.

He’s waiting for you, sweet friend — not with judgment, but with open arms and love that never fades.

Will you call out to Him today?
