Are you mad at God? Do you feel hurt by Him that He didn’t answer the prayer in the way you wanted Him to?
I get it. I really do. I understand the crushing pain of unanswered prayers and a heart full of pain. We want God to answer us in the way we want, but sometimes God has another plan. He heard prayers that we didn’t. He saw things that we couldn’t. And even when we feel alone with all of our heartache, God is with us.
Isaiah 41:10 KJV
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
What a promise and comfort in times of trouble and heartache. When we go through trials, it is so essential for us to trust God. The enemy will blame everything on God. He will try to make us mad at God. I know from an authentic and personal experience. Years ago, I got angry at God and rejected His help and comfort. I didn’t mean to, but it came from my inability to understand.
I knew that God could help me. And oh, how I pleaded, but He didn’t stop it from happening. I felt so hurt and let down by God.
Years later, I wish I had run into my Lord’s arms and let Him hold me. I wish I had trusted Him during the most challenging time of my life. But I made it harder on myself because I didn’t trust the Lord to help me.
Sweet friend, I don’t know what pain hurts you today, but I hope you can trust God through it all. Even though I turned away from God then, He didn’t leave me. He sat with me night after night as I cried. He didn’t say anything to me, but He let me feel Him so I would know He was there.
Now, I am thankful for the wisdom I gained from that trial. It hurt so bad at the time, but it helped me much. I desperately needed the experience, but I didn’t want it because it was hard and so very painful.
I hope you can hold onto the Bible verse and let it comfort your heart. Even when you feel all alone, you’re not. God is always there. If you want to talk, I am here.
