Fighting for Family, Not Against It

The enemy is after our families. If he can cause strife, he will laugh at us as we hurt each other. He tries so hard to separate us from the beautiful gift of love from our families.

Whenever we are in a relationship with another person, there is an opportunity for pain. That comes with the gift of love. I have said ugly things to those I love the most, and I’ve had ugly things said back to me.

When we are in pain simultaneously, our pain draws us to each other and causes us to fight. We end up taking it out on someone we love.

The good news is that forgiveness makes us love each other more.

Nothing is more important to me than God and my family. Therefore, I try to love my family as God loves me. I fail and come short daily, yet God doesn’t withhold His love from me. He forgives me and wraps me in His arms of love.

Life is hard, sweet friends, and we need each other. Therefore, when we have problems in our families, we need to pray to the Lord. He can take each sin and cover it with His blood so that the only thing that remains is His beautiful, amazing love.
