When we got saved, something beautiful happened inside of us. God moved in our hearts and changed us. We are not the same. God breathed His goodness into us and put His light in us.
The enemy wants us to dismiss the goodness of God awakened within us and live like our old selves. That would be easy. We are used to living that way. However, God called us for more.
God called us to be His children. He gave us the mind of Christ. Therefore, we should serve and love like Jesus. The Bible tells us that we should esteem others better than ourselves.
Can you imagine how our lives would change if we loved and valued others?
If we lived with a humble heart filled with love and compassion, what if we decided to leave others better than we found them? What would happen if we prayed continuously for the betterment of others?
Not only would it help others, but it would also change us. Being in a state of love, compassion, and gratitude for everything every day would make our lives richer.
Saying, “I love you,” has become a phrase we repeat often, but it has lost its power. We frequently say the words without any power behind them. Love is a verb. It needs action behind it.
Most people love on conditions. They will love you if you do certain things and act a certain way. But the moment you detour off of the strict path they have conjured up, the love disappears. And the only thing left is a list of unmet conditions and harsh feelings wrapped in a disguise of love.
But it’s not real love.
We can feel the real love. It can’t be squashed or destroyed.
Real love does the work. It helps people and cares for them. It is God because God is love.
Love is the answer. It is what moves the mountain and sets us apart from the world. Love is how we show others a glimpse of our God. When our actions align with our words, the power of love radiates from one to another.
People can feel what we feel.
I’ve had people hug me and say they loved me, but I’ve felt the opposite. The enemy is the one who works in fake love. He uses it as a tool to cause more pain.
God’s love is so pure that the enemy can’t replicate it. Sweet friends, if you feel fake love, know it is a tool the enemy uses to cause division and pain. We overcome it with God’s love. When we love, as Jesus loves, the enemy will flee. He can’t stand amid God’s great and mighty love.
