Don’t Ignore the Lord’s Voice

God’s voice is always there — teaching us, guiding us, and nudging us toward truth. My problem is that sometimes I ignore it. I dismiss the warnings and continue walking toward danger.

When something in my life isn’t aligned with the truth, God gives me a gentle nudge. He wants me to open my eyes and see clearly. But there are moments when I don’t want to see. So, I close my eyes tightly and try to ignore His voice.

Just because I want things to be different doesn’t make them different. Ignoring the truth of the Lord only harms me. It causes me to walk in darkness and to believe the lies the enemy serves me. And if I believe those lies, I might unintentionally pass them on to others, and that thought terrifies me.

Wisdom is opening my eyes to the truth and leaning into my Lord. If I teach anyone anything, I want it to be truth. If others follow my example, I want it to help them, not harm them.

When God shows me the truth, I have two choices: I can reject it or accept it.

If I reject it, I will continue down the path of destruction, wondering why life feels so hard. But if I accept it, God will show me how to apply it — and that’s when transformation begins.

When I apply God’s Word to my life, I grow — and that growth allows me to help others. That’s when my light truly shines to reflect Him.

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

When I follow the Lord and others follow me, my path can lead them closer to Him.
