Do You Feel Like Giving Up?

Oh, sweet friend, I understand the battle of trying to change while longing to stay the same. I’m here now, in this place of change—it’s painful and exhausting.
Part of me wants to run back to the safety of my comfort zone. But another part of me knows my comfort zone isn’t safe at all—it’s stealing my dreams.
To truly change, we have to find some grit and tap into a power greater than our own. We can’t reach the next level without the Lord. We need Him to show us the way and strengthen us along the journey.
It’s hard because it’s supposed to be.
Sometimes I forget that part. I want things to be easy, and when they’re not, I start doubting—doubting my ability, doubting the process, and sometimes even considering giving up.
But beyond the doubt, something beautiful begins to rise—hope. If I can just push through the doubt, hope surfaces, and it changes everything. Hope shifts my perspective and helps me keep going when I want to quit.
Doubt is the enemy’s tactic to steal our desires, but hope is God’s gift to strengthen our faith.
Psalm 37:4–5 (KJV)
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
When it truly matters, God always gives me a spark of hope to keep going. He wants us to succeed and fulfill the work He’s chosen for us.
The urge to give up is often strongest right before the breakthrough. That’s when we need to pray harder and cling to the Lord.
When Jesus struggled with God’s will, He prayed. And in His prayer, strength appeared. That’s what we need to do, too—pray, surrender, and let God give us what we need to keep going.
Luke 22:42–43 (KJV)
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
The enemy tries to convince us that hard means impossible. But with God, all things are possible. If we commit our hearts fully to Him, the enemy’s temptations lose their power.
Keep going, sweet friend. God has great blessings waiting for you beyond the pain.
