At My Worst, He Still Chooses Me

God is always there for me. He is my Father, my best friend, and my everything. But, I don’t always treat Him as if He is special to me. But, even when I’m disobedient, and even when I turn away from Him, He is still there for me. We can never go so far that God’s love cannot reach us. Regardless of what we do or don’t do, God loves us unconditionally.

We all mess up. My sins are no worse than your sins or vice versa. God, however, has grace for our every sin. The blood of Jesus covered them all. God’s love is amazing! Sometimes we need to get away by ourselves and reflect on how blessed we are to have such an amazing God and consider His love.

Even if nothing else in our lives is going right, we can rejoice in the fact that God loves us and we are His precious children. He will never forsake us. Every day, I want my heart to rejoice in this truth.

The enemy tries to tear us down every day. He tries to magnify our sins and make us feel as if our situation is hopeless. But God is our hope. Therefore, when we feel hopeless, we just need to cry out to Jesus. Even if He doesn’t calm the storm all around us, He can calm the one inside of us.

Lord, help me to be more like you. Regardless of how I treat you, you will always be there for me. At my absolute worst, when I don’t even like myself, you love me. You forgive my sins, knowing that I will sin again. When I make poor decisions and find myself lying face down in life’s hardships, you are there to comfort me. Thank you, Lord, for always loving me and for never giving up on me.
