Will you let God use you?

One of my greatest fears is living my life and not becoming who God created me to be. I don’t want to reach the end of my life, and wish I had stepped out in faith and followed my Lord. I never want to wander where the Lord would have taken me if I had been obedient.

The enemy, however, does not want me to follow the Lord. Therefore, he puts all kinds of obstacles in my way. I can use the challenges as a stumbling block to quitting or as a testimony of overcoming. It’s my choice.

God gave us all the freedom to choose. The sad part is that we sometimes choose to stay in places of pain because we fear stepping outside our comfort zone and following the Lord. So often, I have remained locked in a prison of pain instead of pursuing God because of the fear of the unknown.

But God didn’t give us the spirit of fear. That is one of the enemy’s tricks. When dissatisfied with our lives, we complain and search for what is wrong. Satan keeps us settled in our comfort because he knows the sadness of not becoming who God created us to be will dim our light.

God doesn’t want us to be lukewarm. He wants us to be on fire for Him. When we get closer to the Lord, His light reflects even brighter in us. We can be a lighthouse to those struggling in the darkness.

Matthew 5:16 KJV

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
