Thank you, Jesus!

I’m not sure they are words big enough or powerful enough to explain what happened to Jesus. Today my heart feels a little sad at what all He had to endure. And mixed with the sadness is an abundance of love.

I want to think about and talk about God’s amazing love.

God knew the plan before He created Jesus. Through one man’s disobedience, we were all condemned to sin. And yet, through Jesus’ obedience to God’s plan, we can obtain forgiveness for our sins.

So often, we think we know and understand God through our minds. However, my fleshly mind cannot understand God at all. I could not choose for one of my children to die to save the other one(s).

God wanted us to have a choice, so He gave us options. We can stay in our pain and sin and try to numb ourselves to comfort. Or we can choose Jesus, whose blood covers all sin and leads us out of suffering.

Our souls can gain salvation in Jesus. Yet we live like we are in prison when we have the choice of freedom.

Sweet friends, the enemy offers us comfort in our suffering. He will provide us with vices to ease our suffering. We endure pain when we distance ourselves from God or turn away from Him altogether. Jesus provided us with a way to end our suffering. Jesus died so that we could become children of God and have a relationship with Him.

Make this day really good by turning to the Lord. Talk to Him like you would a friend. Tell Him all about your problems, and then listen for His instruction. We honor God by having a beautiful, personal relationship with Him.

Today, my heart whispers, thank you, Jesus! Thank you for carrying my sins on the cross. Thank you for making a way for me to see God one day spend Eternity with you all in Heaven. Thank you for loving me enough to die for me. Thank you for saving my soul.
