Embracing Hardship: Being a Witness for God

If you knew that your hardships would lead someone to the Lord, would you go through them differently?

When hardships occur in my life, I immediately try to pray them away. I don’t want to struggle or suffer at all. I’m just being honest. My flesh is weak and wants constant comfort. But underneath it all, there is a part that had an experience with the Lord. That experience changed me. It transformed me from a sinner to a child of God.

We can tell people all day long about our Lord and how amazing He is, but sometimes people need to see our love and faith in action.

Hardships have a way of showing others what is inside of us. People watch our lives and see how we experience things. So, when we can trust God through the hard times and praise Him through the storms, we become a witness for Him.

One of the greatest things I have learned in life is that my life is not just about me.

I know the Lord. I’m going to Heaven one day. Nothing can change that. But the moment God saved my soul, I also desired that others be saved. If I need to suffer a little, to give others a glimpse of my Lord, I am willing because I know the magnitude of salvation.

This world is not our home. We are just passing through. But on this side, we determine our eternity. Therefore, I want to show others the beauty and gift of my salvation.

I want to live my days as the beloved daughter of God and lead others to my Father. I want to trust God and praise Him for every blessing. I want love and kindness to shine through me. Most of all, I want everyone to be saved, and know God for themselves.
